Recently someone asked me what sort of “stuff” I use to stay organized. We had just finished completing our operations manual, and I realized the best organizational tool I had at my disposal during that process was productivity software.
A few weeks prior, my co-workers and I got trained on Asana. Part of the reason was the huge variance in our clients’ needs:
- Young parents
- Disabled people
- High-net worth individuals
- Divorced/Divorcing people
- Retired people
- People in the prime of their financial life
Asana allows us to set up custom reminders, create to-do lists for ourselves, and communicate with each other instantly.
Full disclosure: I did spend a few bucks to hire a trainer.
Asana fits in with my desire to make my business completely paperless, which is an ongoing process. Also to that end, everyone at Judith Heft & Associates got an extra monitor — we’ve already found that having multiple monitors ends up saving a lot of paper.
As always, I am available to help with your organizational needs — whether it’s with Asana or a bunch of musty old papers!
