It’s that time of year! It’s time to set your personal and business goals for the upcoming year!

I’ve been blessed to have my BoldHeart tribe help me figure out how to accomplish mine, most recently at our quarterly meeting. Whenever we meet, we start by sharing the successes we’ve had since the last time we met, which was three months prior. This simple exercise sets a positive tone for the rest of the retreat.

One of the reasons why our retreats are so successful is because they are confidential. Suffice it to say, we laughed, we cried, we talked about the best of times and the worst of times. That said, we brainstormed certain advice that everybody can learn from:

  • Improve your business by improving your team.
  • Track more than just finances, like where your business is coming from or your return on investment for marketing.
  • Articulate what is already going well for you.
  • Figure out the things you do that don’t work (anymore).
  • Delegate fixing those things.

Each member leaves the retreat with a to-do list — and we all know we will be held accountable by our peers at the next meeting. It’s always hard to say goodbye to my BoldHeart friends — but the silver lining is that I am super excited to be going back to work on some of the coldest, shortest days of the year!

I think it’s important to have impartial feedback, especially if you are a solo entrepreneur or a single parent. Seeing a coach is one way to do that. If it’s your financial life that can use a second set of eyes, we can help with that.
